The day started with the Reading Ambassadors greeting everyone at the gates.  They then delivered an assembly about the day ahead to both KS1 and KS2 including a quiz about famous books and authors.

During the day, classes wrote their own class poem which is going to be published in an RAB poetry book organised by the PTA.  In the afternoon they drew some beautiful illustrations which will also be added to the book.

At break time, the children paraded and showed off their fabulous costumes to each other.

The atmosphere at the Read and Treat at the end of the day was a real highlight.  It was lovely to see so many families enjoying the spring sunshine and reading together.  Thank you to everyone that provided the treats!
