R A Butler is a proudly inclusive school with a strong reputation for SEND provision.  We are seeking a committed and experienced SENCo to maintain and further develop our excellent practice.  Our SEND team is highly regarded by parents, staff, and the Local Authority - a key reason why this is an Assistant Headteacher-level post.

Teaching Assistant SEND Support in the Infant School

We are looking for an exceptional individual to join our superb team of support staff. We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and bright individual to work with the wonderful children in our school. This post will be specifically working with children with Special Educational Needs.

Start: September 2025
Salary: Scale 3 £24,790 to £25,183 (actual salary £19,385 to £19,693)
39 weeks per year (term time plus INSET days) 
Fixed term contract until July 2026 in the first instance
Full-time role 33.75 hours 8.30am-3.45pm Monday to Friday

Midday Assistant

We are looking for an enthusiastic Midday Assistant to join our wonderful lunchtime team to supervise and support our children during their lunch break.

Start: 1st Sept 2025
Salary: Scale 1 £23,656 FTE (pro rata for hours worked - £4,009 basic pay)
38 weeks per year (term time only)
Permanent contract
Working hours: Monday to Friday 12:00 – 1.30pm
