midday Assistant
We are looking for an enthusiastic Midday Assistant to join our wonderful lunchtime team to supervise and support our children during their lunch break.
Start: April 2026 Salary: Scale 1 £24,413 FTE (pro rata for hours worked - £3,440 basic pay)
38 weeks per year (term time only)
Permanent contract Working hours: Monday to Friday 12:00 – 1.15pm

Chief Financial Officer
Competitive Salary: £113,646-£131,578 Start date: 1st September 2026 (an earlier start date is possible, subject to negotiation)
Due to the forthcoming retirement of our Chief Finance Officer (CFO) after 13 years, Saffron Academy Trust seeks a committed and passionate individual to embrace our Vision, Values and Ethos and build on our strong foundations already in place.
Our new CFO will provide inspirational, strategic and professional leadership which will ensure the continuing development and success of the Trust and its academies as places of transformational learning with a reputation for high standards across all aspects of its work.
Responsible for an income of £54m and the effective use of resources across the academies, the CFO will seek to further develop and deliver the vision and the aims of the Trust to create a platform for high standards of learning for all.
We are a growing trust. We are currently a family of three secondary schools, one all-through school and five primary schools, serving more than 6,500 students and employing 1,000 staff. The CFO will help to shape the evolution of the Trust as it seeks to build on its successes in bringing schools together to address disadvantages and to achieve outstanding outcomes for all pupils. The CFO will support local growth opportunities in both the primary and secondary sectors.

The role provides a very real opportunity to contribute to the leadership of the strategic direction of our Trust. ESTATES & HEALTH AND SAFETY MANAGER
Salary: Competitive range £36,363 - £39,152 Full or part-time considered. Immediate start available.
Reporting to the Head of Estates and Health & Safety of Saffron Academy Trust
This role requires in person working with the possibility of some working from home.
Saffron Academy Trust is a local educational trust in the north of Essex comprising of 9 schools (4 secondaries and 5 primaries) The aim of the Trust is to build a professional learning community of teachers and school leaders focused on achievement for all across the 3-19 age range. It is a high priority for the trust to ensure excellent progression and continuity of learning for students at each transition point between key stages.
The Trust wishes to appoint an Estates and Health & Safety Manager to work alongside the Head of Estates to manage a range of facilities across its multiple sites. The post holder will be responsible for advising on and ensuring compliance with health & safety legislation; maintenance of relevant records and register of audits; act as an advisor to all schools on Estate matters, development of policies and procedures with the Head of Estates and work with the Head of Estates on building programmes and maintenance programmes.
The successful candidate will have experience in general estates and facilities management, a working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and an understanding of building control systems. Previous experience working in a school environment would be beneficial but not essential.
You should have a proven track record of providing excellent facilities management services, experience of working with a multi discipline team of professionals, and be able to demonstrate having successfully implemented change and innovation.
