late play - FINANCE & ADMIN ASSISTANT

Would you like to join a charity that makes a real difference in children’s everyday lives? Late Play are looking to recruit a part-time Finance & Admin Assistant responsible to the Business Manager.

We provide a vibrant, welcoming space where play and imagination take the lead. You’ll be part of a dedicated, friendly team who care deeply about helping families and strengthening the local community. Every member of our fantastic team plays a part in making that happen, and we’re looking for someone who shares our values, creativity and integrity to join the team. Main duties:

• Maintain child attendance records, raise debtor invoices and collect fees.
• Pay supplier invoices and expenses.
• Liaise with parents regarding their accounts.
• Maintain accounting records and update accounting software.
• Maintain the Club’s waiting list and registration systems.
• Provide payroll and HR administration support.
• Support the Senior Management Team with ad hoc finance and admin tasks.
• Assist in the production of the annual accounts and charity returns.
• Assist with management committee administration and governance.

This is a part-time role working remotely and flexibly for 16 hours per week Monday to Friday (hours of work are flexible but a typical working day will be 3.25 hours). The post is for 42 weeks per year (term-time plus 4 weeks).

Salary £10,706 including holiday pay. Our NEST contributory pension scheme includes employer contributions of 7% with options to increase your contributions for greater savings.

Some experience of financial administration is required but full training will be given. The role requires excellent communication and I.T skills and experience of using accounting software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). The post-holder must have a suitable remote working set-up and will need to visit the Play Club weekly and attend supervision/management meetings.
